Criminal / Cyber Disputes

Defending the accused and standing for victims, from the FIR to the final appeal.

We defend persons accused of crime at every stage, from the first information report and arrest through bail, trial, and appeal, and we also stand for victims and complainants who want a case properly investigated and prosecuted. Criminal work rewards early and careful attention, and we give it from the day the client comes to us.

On the accused side, our work covers anticipatory bail and regular bail, cancellation of bail, quashing of first information reports and proceedings, discharge, and defence at trial in offences against the body such as hurt, grievous hurt, assault, kidnapping, and homicide, offences against property such as theft, robbery, dacoity, house breaking, criminal breach of trust, cheating, and criminal misappropriation, offences against women and children including those under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy, forgery, and offences under special laws such as the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the Arms Act, the Excise Act, and preventive detention laws. For victims and complainants we assist in lodging the first information report, seek proper investigation, oppose bail where it is not warranted, and pursue the prosecution to conviction.

Our cyber practice covers offences under the Information Technology Act and the connected provisions of the criminal law, including online financial fraud and phishing, hacking and unauthorised access, data and identity theft, publishing or transmitting obscene or objectionable material, online defamation, stalking and harassment, social media offences, and disputes over the genuineness and admissibility of electronic evidence. We act both for those wrongly accused in such matters and for those who have been cheated or targeted online.

We also handle cheque dishonour cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act for the payee seeking recovery and for the drawer defending the complaint, along with white collar and economic offences, bank fraud, and matters investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate, and the Economic Offences Wing. We appear before the magistrate and sessions courts across the districts, before the High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati, and, by way of criminal appeal, special leave petition, and bail petition, before the Supreme Court of India.
